Anyone can benefit from the Spinning program. And because you can go at your own pace by controlling the resistance on your bike, taking a Spin class is a great way for both men and women to get fit. Spinning is a non-impact exercise and there is no competition. Regardless of your fitness level, you will get a great workout!
A Spinning class makes riding a stationary bike FUN by adding energizing music and visualization all in a motivating group setting. On average, Spinning classes can burn 400-500 calories in 40 minutes. At 80-110 rpm, each class is equivalent to approximately 15-20 miles on the road. It all depends on your weight, the intensity of your workout and your cadence.
Beverly Ride On offers a Intro to Spinning class on Tuesdays at 6:30pm and a Beginner class on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. but feel free to attend any class. It’s a good idea to come a little early, and let the instructor know you’re new to Spinning.
They can help you adjust the bike to fit your body and familiarize you with its features.
